Winter IS Coming……

Counter-intuitively, the time to start winter food plants is the dog-days of Summer. That means now. In our climate there is a huge variety of vegetable crops that can produce good yields of delicious food from early Fall right through to the grey days of February and on into the ‘Hunger Gap’ days of Spring.

The trick is to start the plants early enough that they can benefit from the warm soils and temperatures of late Summer and early Fall and grow big enough to not only survive cooling days (and nights), frost and the low light levels of the Winter months but also provide food for the Farmer.

As usual, all our inventory is available via the What’s Good app http://www.sourcewhatsgood.com or through http://onelink.to/5wfazg if you’re an iPhone user. Alternatively you can get the app through Google Play, just search for What’s Good. Find the Oregon City Farmers Market in the Markets list and then find Maggy’s Farm in the Vendor list.

For a full list, click on the WINTER STARTS tab at the top of the page. If you’re on the wordpress mobile site then click on the menu tab and find Winter Starts towards the bottom of the list.

See you at the Market!!
